We currently have a vacancy for a Senior Climbing Arborist to join our team. This is a permanent full-time role situated in the beautiful Nelson region.

Here at Nelmac we have a long and strong association with arboriculture in New Zealand and operates a well-equipped and supportive team, with regular opportunities for some excellent climbing challenges.

To be successful in the role you will have:

  • experience in running day to day operations of an Arboriculture team

  • experience in all aspects of professional arboriculture contracting including lines work (close approach preferred)

  • crane work and advanced rigging (preferred)

  • competence in rope and harness climbing, EWP and SRT operation experience preferred

  • a commitment to safe, efficient, quality work

  • an accurate tree identification skill-set

  • a general mechanical aptitude

  • lines clearance work would be an advantage but is not essential.
