Senior Climbing Arborist - Marlborough

We currently have a vacancy for a Senior Climbing Arborist to join our team. This is a permanent full-time role situated in the beautiful Marlborough wine region.

Nelmac has a long and strong association with arboriculture in New Zealand and operates a well-equipped and supportive team, with regular opportunities for some excellent climbing challenges. 

The successful applicant will join a growing team of professionals who aim high and have a real dedication to their work and each other.

The role offers a great deal of diversity, from maintaining Marlborough’s street trees to climbing and dismantling large residential trees. We are not going out on a limb here. This is your shot to let your career blossom! Your skills and experience will see you being able to lead by example with your expert arboriculture capabilities. 

To be successful in the role you will have:
•    experience in all aspects of professional arboriculture contracting including lines work (close approach preferred)
•    competence in rope and harness climbing and EWP operation
•    a commitment to safe, efficient, quality work
•    an accurate tree identification skillset
•    full class 1 & 2 driver licences
•    general mechanical aptitude.

You must also have a clean driver’s licence, NZ residency or a valid NZ work visa, and will be required to undergo pre-employment medical checks and drug screening.
