Operations Manager – Tasman

We are currently seeking a permanent full-time Operations Manager to lead our Tasman team covering services from building, maintenance, cleaning facilities, cemetery Operations and supporting the horticulture, sports turf and mowing team.  This role will require a service focused leader to oversee the operational delivery for the team.

Reporting to the Contracts Manager (Tasman), your key responsibilities will be to ensure current and future works are planned, organised and resourced as efficiently as possible, and to establish and maintain excellent relationships with customers in order to sustain the diverse works covered by this team and to ensure a high quality of work to deliver business excellence.

Required skills/attributes:

  • Ability to plan, organise and price schedules for works completion

  • The ability to be able to manage and understand the financial performance of the team

  • Experience and enthusiasm for leading people.

  • A commercial mind-set with the ability to forward plan in order to service contract requirements at an optimum level.

  • A good level of physical health, with the practical ability to carry out, supervise and quality check field work.

  • Great skills in building and maintaining customer relationships

  • Be able to multitask and prioritise work

  • Experience in contract work and working with councils

  • Amenity horticulture Level 4 or higher preferred but not essential
