Green Spaces Operator - Grounds Person

Here's your opportunity to work on some of Tasman's great sports grounds helping out the wider community by providing top ground maintenance services.

We are seeking an enthusiastic, high energy Green Spaces Operator – Grounds Person to join our team based in Tasman in this permanent full-time role.

In this role you will help ensure that surfaces are kept in a pristine condition for our multitude of users. The work includes but is not limited to: mowing, line marking, irrigation, weed control, furitiliser application and set up of goal posts.

The successful applicant will have:

• Experience operating specialised sports turf equipment, commercial ride on mowers, tractors and rollers preferred

• Level 4 National Certificate in Sports Turf Management or equivalent and/or minimum of 4+ years’ experience in the sports turf / mowing / contracting industry 

• Good NZ Native plant knowledge and a genuine enthusiasm to create and maintain beautiful Green Spaces 

• Plant disease and grass weed knowledge would be an advantage

• Full Class 1 drivers licence, (HT and Wheels Tracks and Rollers (WTR) endorsement preferred)

• Growsafe Certificate 

• A strong commitment to customer service - a flexible attitude to getting the job done whatever it may take

• Good levels of physical fitness and ability to carry out the broad range of tasks required by the GS - Operator role.
