How we add value to your project

As Nelson is at the heart of Nga Haerenga The New Zealand Cycle Trail, our team has helped build portions of the local trails. We’ve worked on all levels of mountain bike tracks within parks and wilderness trails. We have also constructed hundreds of trails and tracks for walking and tramping throughout New Zealand. We understand what quality tourism infrastructure requires.

Nelmac is known for its skills in creating multi-use link tracks and trails that are equally suitable for cycle and pedestrian users. We make use of the heavy machinery and tools required to complete the trickiest of trails. Within our extended team, we have technical partners and established contractors who help provide an integrated service.

Nelmac’s project planning expertise includes project definition and scope, procurement, works and scope management, onsite supervision, change and relocation management, and project release. There’s more to a project than drafting a plan. Our team understands a client’s desired outcomes and, with our technical knowledge, we can faciliate a successful project from start to finish.

Many members of our team have project management accreditation in Prince 2 and PMBoK. We can provide in-field technology including GIS and Vworks. Trail designers have experience to match the track grades in the New Zealand Cycle Trail Design Guide.
