How we add value to your project
Nelmac’s team have worked on water networks for local authorities for years, some for more than 25 years. The experience and knowledge earned over decades means we understand the intricacies of building and operating the network efficiently, all of which is transferrable to any large or small 3 Waters project. Managing a city’s water network requires a specialty in the public health implications.
We have a high level of expertise in the wastewater field as well. Our contracted services include managing the city’s reticulated wastewater system. Over the years we’ve come to know the intricacies of it to clear blockages, conduct proactive maintenance, and carry out die and smoke testing for breaks or leaks. We are able to do ‘no dig’ repairs, patching up pipes from the outside looking in without doing any digging. This allows trafficked areas to undergo fixes that don’t interrupt transport flows.
All of these services are especially vital during a civil defence emergency, for which our team is a first responder and critical partner. Whether it’s a heavy weather event or a declared flooding emergency, we can be relied upon for knowledge and action.
Water service crew leader
As Crew Leader for the Nelmac’s Water Team, Danyon undertakes the activities required to improve and maintain Utilities networks within the Nelson/Tasman regions. Responsible for the supervision of 10 trained Water Service people, Danyon has been with Nelmac since 2012.
As part of Danyon's role he is required to manage resources, sub-contractors and staff to ensure jobs are completed on time and to standard. In his role Danyon has developed effective working relationships with other Nelmac departments and has specific strengths in communication and client relationships
