We believe that the one of the great features of the Nelson region is our trees. We have important collections of heritage trees tracing the history of early settlement and beyond. We are all custodians of this heritage for the enjoyment of future generations and we take our duty of care very seriously.

• Consultation: We have the experience and expertise to advise you on hazardous or unhealthy trees. We can also provide advice on tree selection, planting and replacement.
• Pruning: Pruning is the removal of branches with a handsaw, chainsaw or loppers to improve the tree’s growth or health, to enhance the surrounding area or to avoid possible danger.
• Tree and Stump removal: If a tree has reached the end of its life or become hazardous, it may need felling. This is a highly skilled operation that should be carried out only by fully trained tree professionals. The NELMAC team has the skills and equipment to remove trees or stumps of any size from the most confined areas.
• Power Line Clearance: Dealing with trees that interfere with power lines should only be undertaken by fully trained experts. NELMAC will provide safe and effective clearance around power lines and other cables.
